Loss Aversion

We feel losses twice as acutely as equivalent gains — this distorts our choices.

Kahneman and Tversky showed that losing ₹1,000 hurts more than gaining ₹1,000 pleases. This bias keeps people in bad jobs, bad relationships, and bad investments far longer than rational analysis would justify. The question is always: are you holding on because it's worth holding, or because letting go feels like losing?

Try this

Separate the decision of "should I continue this?" from "would I start this today if I hadn't already begun?"

Ask yourself

Where are you currently holding on to something primarily because giving it up feels like a loss — rather than because keeping it is genuinely good for you?
